Did he just admit that he'd had some kind of torrid affair with Gladio? Indeed he had and while Ignis wasn't one to be so open, Noctis was his oldest friend. He'd been part of Ignis' life for as long as he could remember. Not telling him, not being so honest, would've been just wrong.
Still, he hadn't wanted to add to his friend's burden. Not when it was already so heavy.
