Part of Ignis just knew, but part of him was shocked at that admission. When they'd first started to even imagine being together, Gladio was desired by many and why not? He was handsome and strong and charming, friends with damn near everyone. There were times that Ignis still quietly wondered how he was able to capture the Shield's heart when there were so many out there that had seemed to be better suited to him when they were both younger.

A long moment drug out between them, Ignis sighing softly as he let that admission wash over him. A first they would share, and that was something that Ignis had never imagined would happen. Another moment, then he reached up to cup that scruffy cheek, his gaze warm and his lips curled into a faint smile.

"I certainly hope it'll be memorable for you. I know it will be for me."
