If anyone could wear the shield out. It would surely be Ignis. Gladio sticks to his mate happily all night, only waking up just briefly to shift and separate them. He cleans them both off just briefly enough not to regret being sticky in the morning before his large weight curls on top of his mate again, soft snores escaping him as the moon sets and the sun rises.

When he wakes up again, he spends his brief moment alone watching his mates face, the soft look Ignis has when it is just them, how relaxed he can be like this.

"Hey babe," He rumbles Ignis wakes, nuzzling at him scratchily. "My mate."
